I like this concept better, it's easily more classy in that it doesn't allude to sex. Not that such an allusion is a bad thing, but I think on the first concept it immediately smacks of something lurid, or risque. Whereas I'm sure a dating website labeled as "exclusive" and touting such a name as to invoke expectations of manners, propriety, high standards, wealth, and success wouldn't want to denote anything short of class; after all, as with most dating websites the marriages that come from their matches will be the marketable percentage, not the casual or otherwise less wholesome connections.

"Buffy and I met on High Society dot com, it was like magic every time we spoke, even the prenuptial agreement was a breeze! Now we're happily married!" "Happily ever after." *smooch* "Cheers to High Society!"

Like that. ;D

As for the image itself: I love how you've worked a little whimsy into such a stunningly stylish graphic. I appreciate the delicate background texture, I imagine the image might be a bit too stark given a purely flat white field. You've fit the two figures together idealistically, illustrating the fine poise and style that the term/company name conjures. I really appreciate that you left open space in the figures, allowing for some implied lines, very minimalistic of you, which I think ties in well with the idea of "less is more", which as I'm experiencing holds the viewer at interest for longer. Though I'd almost like to see a little something more the left of her dress, perhaps some other indication of the flow of her dress? Hmm... just an idea.

Otherwise your play with the lettering, the bow-tie and the statuesque figure, are quite clever! I think this logo is a triumph, and I hope they are as pleased with it as I am. <]

May your work benefit from their widespread praise.
Rock ON!

Just to buck the trend, of the two, I would go with this one - I think the black and white simplicity of this is better than the other one.

That said, I think I would refine the idea a little more, the silhouettes could be stronger I think.
