Creative Development: Procedural Texturing in Maya
Last month I had the privilege to record and create a tutorial for Digital Tutors, I gotta tell you it was very challenging, you don't know how hard are video courses to create until you record your first one. Yes, I have finally done it. My blog is alive and kicking www.pixelophy.com . I launched it before the holidays, since then I have wrote a couple of Making of, a detailed walkthrough for my Princess and The Pea 3d illustration, presented my new 3d scene which I haven't added on DeviantArt yet so make sure to check out that one and this week I wrote my first tutorial woooohooooooo.

The tutorial is about How to create realistic wood textures in maya using only Procedural textures, I have used this technique in my White Christmas scene , Roger's room from my Disney classics project and in my Princess and the Pea scene.

Scene From a Fairytale Contest
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the contest page last night, this is the first time I entered a contest :D and The First time That I have won! WOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOO!

SO last month contest was about Creating a Fairy-tale scene of our choice. My chosen theme is The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Andersen, I wanted the scene to be magical. I kept the modeling very simple and focused on the lighting and composition of this image.
